Carta do Presidente do SAS
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On the heels of the successful 2nd APSAS in Sanya, China, I am happy to see that the Latin America Chapter is developing so quickly that they will be hosting a meeting already. What a great accomplishment to develop a chapter and host a meeting all in the same year. The SAS looks forward to adding spine care professionals from South and Central America into the expanding reaches of the SAS - The International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery.
We look forward to the academic program that will develop from the submissions of abstracts from around the world. We have seen with the APSAS meetings, the exchange of insights during these meetings and the sharing of experiences help us to bridge the distance and bring us all closer together in the goal of advancing spine surgery. The LASAS will offer more opportunities for members in the Latin American region to promote and exchange new theory and innovative technologies in the spine surgery field.
We are sure to receive many fascinating abstracts from around the world. The LASAS Program Committee will develop an outstanding program from all that is submitted for all who attend.
The 1stLASAS Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Spine Technology Education Group’s 7thAnnual Meeting giving attendees the chance to experience both meetings. The STEG meeting will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday while the LASAS meeting will be held on Wednesday and Friday. The exact program details are available on this website.
I look forward to saying Bienvenidos or Bem-vindo to you as I welcome you to the meeting in beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico.
Chun-Kun Park, MD, PhD
